Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book an appointment?

Monday – Friday
All appointments at our office are pre-booked. Existing patients can call (613) 498-0444 during office hours to schedule an appointment.

Saturday
Existing patients can call (613) 423-3333 on Saturdays between 8:30 – 12:00 pm and from 1:00 – 4:00 pm to request an urgent care appointment. These appointments can only be booked on the day of appointment. As the urgent care clinic fills up quickly, it is best to call in the morning.

To help us schedule your appointment efficiently and ensure you receive timely care, please provide the receptionist with the following information when booking:

1. Reason for the Visit
– Be specific (e.g., “I have a persistent cough for two weeks” instead of “I don’t feel well”).
– If you have multiple concerns, mention them so the doctor can allocate enough time.
– If you need a prescription renewal, specify the medication(s) required.

2. Urgency of the Issue
– Let us know if your concern is urgent (e.g., new or worsening symptoms, infections, or concerns requiring prompt attention).
– If your issue is non-urgent, it may be scheduled at a later date based on availability.
– If deemed medically necessary, you may be offered an appointment with a nurse practitioner or another physician at our urgent care clinic to ensure you are seen as soon as possible. While we strive to book patients with their family doctor, timely care is our priority.

I need to renew my medications

Before requesting a renewal, check your prescription label for remaining refills or repeats (see example below). If refills are available, contact your pharmacy directly.Β

If no refills remain, call our office to request a renewal. You may need an appointment to review your medication. If eligible, you can request a renewal without an appointment for a $15 fee per medication. This fee is waived for PatientServ PS365 subscribers.

To avoid running out, check your refill status when picking up your medication and schedule a renewal appointment if needed. Please make sure to have your medication bottle/box on hand when you call the office and to bring it with you to your appointment (even if it is empty).
